Aftercare Coordinator - Part-time


Must be an organized, outgoing, motivated individual with excellent written and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.  Must display exceptional teamwork ability.

 

Duties include:


O  Coordinating our support groups

O  Facilitate senior groups and small groups

O  Supporting client family needs

O  Conducting support and follow-up calls

O  Assisting families in applying for survivor benefits

O  Coordinating educational opportunities in the community

O  Researching/developing new material

O  Attending training programs

O  Conducting the STAR program as necessary in the chapels

O  Planning and hosting special events


Educational/experience required:


O  Certified as a Bereavement Facilitator

O  Some experience in facilitating a support group

O  Experience working in the healthcare, hospice or social service fields

O  Computer skills (Word, Excel, internet searches)

O  Public speaking

O  Worked through own grief surrounding a personal loss

O  Ability to separate your feelings from other people’s feelings
